3 Dishes That You Can Prepare With a Mug And a Microwave

These easy recipes that you prepare in a microwave oven will make you appreciate your microwave better.

Most of the time, the microwave is the last resort option in my house. At least that's how it has been until now.

I don't like reheating food in the microwave, because it can ruin the texture of delicious leftovers. But if done smartly, the microwave can be a powerful kitchen tool capable of churning out some great dishes in five minutes or less.

Scrambled eggs

Put two eggs in a large coffee mug, add a chopped mushroom and a handful of chopped spinach. Add half a tablespoon of olive oil, salt to taste, and pepper powder. Mix everything well and put it in the microwave for about a minute and a half. When 30 seconds have passed, remove it and stir it again. Repeat the operation after one minute of cooking.

Sprinkle some more pepper on top and voila, there you have some delicious scrambled eggs.



Portion of sponge cake

Individual cake servings in coffee cups or glass jars are perfect for birthday parties or dinners with friends. Follow the directions on the box of any cake mix and pour a small amount into a glass jar.

Put the jar in the microwave and give it a minute. Keep in mind that the dough will grow a lot and very quickly in the oven, so leave plenty of room in the jar. Otherwise it comes off and you will have to clean everything.

Let it cool for about a minute and serve with a scoop of ice cream on top.



Pizza in cup


First, prepare the dough by mixing 4 tablespoons of flour, 1/8 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/16 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, all in a large cup of coffee. Add three tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon of olive oil to the mixture and stir. You may have to prepare the dough with your hands.

Then, put the dough in the cup and arrange it with your fingers, add a little marinara sauce, cheese and whatever you want to put on top. Put it in the microwave and give it 1 minute and 20 seconds. (The time varies depending on the oven).

Let the cup cool slightly for a few minutes and… ready to eat.
